Apartment Review for Bonaventure Place - Louisville, KY

When we first moved in, this was a great complex - clean, attractive, well-maintained, no problems at all. The new management, however, has taken a nice place and turned it into a terrible place. The grounds maintenance is awful - broken glass and busted concrete laying in the parking lot for weeks, all the bushes are diseased and dying, and in warm weather they go for weeks without cutting the grass and it literally gets a foot tall. Parking is insufficient and we often are not able to park in front of our building. If you are unlucky enough to have a maintenance issue in your unit, good luck getting them to fix anything. It takes multiple phone calls and weeks to get them to take care of even the smallest problem. There are plenty of problems with tenants who are noisy, leave toys and trash laying around outside, don't clean up after their pets, etc. There are also issues with some tenants using/selling drugs. Despite all of this, the new management also raised the rent by a ridiculous amount... we could be renting a similar unit in the east end for what rent now costs. There are plenty of apartments in the Okolona area that are nicer or cheaper!
