Apartment Review
Don't spend your hard earned money here

There are so many issues to consider when you think about an apartment. Price, Location, Maintenance, Ease of Access, Noise, Condition of Apartment, Emenities, Management... So here we have a fairly high priced apartment complex which is certainly the highest priced I have ever lived in and I have lived in 6 Different states (Military). For the money we pay here, it's amazing how poorly this place is managed. To start off with and I am starting randomly, the apartment allows pets which is nice because we happen to own a small dog. The problem is they have no way to really enforce the rule about people picking up after their pets so when you walk your dog on the grass you have to constantly watch out for "bombs" everywhere. I do mean Everywhere. There is supposed to a $50 fee if you get caught not picking it up, they won't enforce it. I ALWAYS clean up after my dog because I feel it is only right. I only see maybe 3-4 others do it and 15-20 or more that don't. Reporting them is a waste of breath. Secondly, Noise.. WOW!! If you live below someone, be prepaired to hear everything going on above you. That can include little kids (Or big kids) stomping around and there is Nothing that they will do about that either. I have been dealing with this issue with my upstairs neighbor for months now. She refuses to let up and the management won't do anything to stop it. Parking can be at a premium at times, but overall it's not too bad. Expect to get your car dinged / scratched or even worse on occasion. The appearance of the apartments from the outside seems nice, but they were built as cheaply as possible, and even the maintenance staff will admit it. The windows Leak, we had a serious Mold issue and later found out that there have been many others with worse mold issues here. Really? At over $800 per month? Yep! Sometimes it takes a while (Long while) to get things fixed, but that has improved with the hiring of more maintenance people. In the winter time, many of the doors leak a whole lot of heat, and the opposite in the hot summer months with the AC just blowing out the door. We so wish we had not signed a two year lease. I have heard very bad reports from people who have moved out, or tried to move out about getting hit with heavy fees and costs after the move from Champion Farms. I am waiting until we move to see if they try the same stunt with us. If you are looking to rent here and are reading this, I can't tell you where to live, but I can say if I had to do it all over and knew what I know now. I would be going elsewhere for sure. The only saving grace here is how convenient this place is to just about everything. The stress level is too high though to enjoy it. |
