Apartment Review for Lafontenay Apartments - Louisville, KY

Our problems began from the moment we were handed our keys and opened the door. We began moving things in and noticed how drawers were not even cleaned out properly. We found onion peels and used q-tips in one drawer, and mouse poop all over the floor in the closets down stairs. We called the manager and they had someone come up and do a pretty crappy job of cleaning. Later on that night we noticed a cockroach. Thus, we began to look further and realized our place was infested with cockroaches. The manager told us they knew about the problem and had treated the week before, thinking we would have been ok to move in. They treated again and slowly but surely the problem went away. Yet, about a month later we began to see mouse poop on our kitchen floor. We went and bought mouse traps and ended up killing about 10 mice. No Joke!!! About a month later we found BED BUGS! We called the apartment manager and they had OPC come out and treat the place. However, the management told us that we most likely brought them in from somewhere, and informed us we would have to pay for the treatment. Many of you reading this might think this story is a little far fetched. I promise you it is not. This was the worst experience of my life, and when we moved out of the place, we ended up throwing out 1/2 of our stuff because we did not want to bring any roaches or bed bugs with us. I would highly recommend that you look else where.
