Apartment Review for Legends Apartments - Louisville, KY

I've only been here since the end of October. I moved from a house in Chicago and thus was quite selective when finding an apartment to live in. All of the other 18 apartments I visited felt like I was moving backwards in time - they felt like old college apartments with no updating. The Legends has high ceilings, wide open spaces, huge windows, beautiful grounds and a balcony. Some have townhomes and garages. Plenty of parking to go around (2.5 spaces per unit). Any maintenance issues are dealt with on the same day! The staff is very friendly and courteous. I was surprised that I rarely hear noise from neighbors, either. Occasionally, I'll hear someone walk down the stairs in the morning, and once I heard a group of people obviously partying the night away, but other than that, it's been really quiet. I feel like it is a home in the middle of an apartment complex. It's right across the street from the Springhurst mall, Tinseltown, Target, Meijer, near Tom Sawyer state park and LAC (really nice gym) is two stoplights away, next to Kroeger. Plenty of restaurants. The Summit is also a quick drive. The only downside is the drive to Louisville in the morning.
