Apartment Review for Parkview Apartments - Louisville, KY

This place encompasses all of the Parkview Apartments located on Cherokee Parkway and Cherokee Road owned by Harry Lewman.

I rented this place just for the neighborhood and I think I made a mistake. An 18 year old was shot and killed 100' away from my front door. It should be in the courier journal online, look it up if you dont believe me.

When I did the walkthough the place looked decent, but after a few months, I realize a lot of things are falling apart. I think my furnace is from the 70's and is oversized for the place. It has trouble heating the apartment but still guzzles gas to the tune of a few hundred bucks a month in the winter. This place is old and drafty, there are some stained glass windows, and though they are pretty to look at, let the wind come in.

Harry is difficult to get a hold of....you always get a vague answering machine to leave a message on. You can tell Harry's cheaping out on the appliances and repairs. Definitely not worth the $700+ rent for the area.

You can easily hear through the walls and floors. And I mean hear "everything".

Parking is tight. You better learn how to parallel park and not care about your bumpers as the neighbors will trash them.

I'd save $300/month and go down the road for the same thing. That's where I'm moving.
