Apartment Review for Phoenix Place - Louisville, KY

Aside from the fact that a student was robbed at gun point and punched in the face and robbed again (TWICE in 2 weeks!)this place was a total nightmare. Maintenance may take MONTHS to respond. One of my neighbors went 5 weeks without a working toilet and had to pee outside and at gas stations. We had problems with roaches, dishwashers, security system, security, carpet flooding, dirty carpets, maintenance and landlords entering without permission or prior notification, rude maintenance staff, and being sent to collections (we always paid rent on TIME). A large portion of the apartments caught on fire, and boy did they burn fast! If you are even considering living here- DON'T. Unless you like getting robbed, roaches, dirty carpets, domestic disputes, living right next to a homeless shelter, and writing maintenance LETTERS to get small things fixed. The manager doesn't want to hear your complaints and gets angry when you ask for anything to be fixed. They won't help you. And the fact that they are under "new management" is a lie. New owners. Same rude management (especially "Nancy"). They are NOT owned by University of Louisville, although they might tell you that they are. If you are a student Do NOT live here. The amount of time you think you're saving by living so close to the health campus will be chewed away by the time you spend fighting maintenance and breaking your lease.
