Apartment Review for Preston Oaks Apartments - Louisville, KY

a first i thought this place was getting a bad rep by people who didnt know what they were talking about. the staff was super friendly and professional. they assured me that background checks were done on everyone on a lease in the complex. that no felons or drug dealers or sex offenders live there. i was still a little nervous. as a combat veteran im always a little nervous of a new place. however once i paid my deposit and first months rent things started getting bad. from the second i started moving my things in i could feel eyes upon me. my father and i were offered crack cocaine by 2 different drug dealers in the parking lot. my dad didnt even know what it was god bless him. i saw a large mexican man selling pea-sized white balls out of a waded up container made of aluminum foil to another mexican man. when we returned with another load of my things we were met with horror. my front door had be BUSTED down! the whole frame was torn from the wall, wooden splinters everywhere the hinge was clear across the room. my things were stolen, included an antique WWII rifle (non-operational) that my uncle brought back from France. I did a police report, man you shouldve seen them clear out when the man showed up. When i told the ladies in the front office that i would no longer be living there they did not believe me. At least not until i gave them the police report number. Please DO NOT live here. unless ur a junkie looking to score drugs and u own nothing of value. NO wonder they have to give away 2 months free rent to get people in here. Scam of the century. I was ashamed to be a louisvillian by this place. I felt like i was in Compton or Flint Michigan. Anyone who lives here with their kids are morons. Crackheads will do and steal anything! Dont make the mistake i made, go drive around this place at 9 pm if u dont believe me, (during the day the crackheads hang out in front off the plasma center which is 300 yards from the complex).
