Apartment Review for Rangeland Manor - Louisville, KY

The pool has never opened. They rent to thugs & ignorant folks that ding you re car doors all the time. The central air(chiller) that works for all 300+ units never blows colder than 78 degrees. So you re apartment will be 90+ on hot days. We just use a 6,000 BTU window unit at our expense. The maintence staff are lazy & just ride around all day in golf carts. To make matters worse the hot water is produced in the steam room & is hooked up via a network of underground pipes. So the water gets turned off once a week to fix "tub Leaks". When they turn the water back on its muddy brown & smells like rust. The plus side is the units all come with w/d hookups & dishwashers. You re clothes & dishes will smell like rusty water though. One last thing; "dont drink the water"! In a followup a few weeks before we moved the building directly next to ours went up in flames! I returned home from work one day & I could see black smoke billowing from the complex at over a mile away. I almost lost my mind because as I pulled in I just knew it was my apartment on fire. In a matter of about 15 minutes I was told The end apartment caught fire & flames shot through the roof. A 9 & 10 year old kids were playing with lighters & caught the carpet on fire & it burned down half of the row. About 12 apartments were destroyed & the red cross showed up & offered people shelter. It was a very sad situation as it happened a few months after x-mas & the kids all lost their toys & clothes. Once again its the type of teanents they rent to that caused this fire. Just avoid Rangeland period. Your better off just looking somewhere else.
