Apartment Review for Vieux Carre Apartments - Louisville, KY

I am an expecting mother and me and my husband decided we needed more living space so we took a look at Vieux Carre. BAD IDEA!!! The 3 bedroom "garden home" that I was showed was more like a boxed in prison. The appliances looked worn and on their last leg, and let's just say I have seen better bathrooms.They wanted almost $800 per month for this "hole in the wall". Oh I forgot to mention the fitness room was the size of a small closet (not a joke!, check it out for yourself). While being showed this closterphobic nightmare the management suggested that my unborn child sleep in the closet(this may actually be the case with some of these tenants) Not too mention the parking lot had strange men lurking around. The management was very strange and almost scary while showing the apartment I got the weirdest vibe. Well after being mentally drained and traumatized from just the showing I decided to do some reviews on the place just to confirm that I would NOT be moving there. Upon my research I learned that there had been a MURDER there just this past September and I was not the only person that considered the management creepy. Go ahead do the research for yourself but common sense will tell you that you can do a lot better for your money than Vieux Carre (doesn't the name sound so elegant?? NOT!!). Have a blessed day and be very careful of these apartment slums when renting.
